Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

Ever since she can remember, Dr. Ramsay has really enjoyed helping others, and that interest inevitably led to her realizing that dentistry was her true calling. Today, she makes every effort to serve patients with plenty of courtesy, attentive care, and genuine compassion. Whether you’re struggling with serious dental pain or simply interested in achieving a beautiful smile in a stress-free environment, she’s ready to lend a helping hand.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Ramsay completed her pre-doctoral education at Portland State University, earning her Bachelor of Science with honors. She earned her degree in General Dentistry at the Oregon Health and Science University School of Dentistry. Today, she  regularly continues her education on the latest skills, procedures, and equipment in oral healthcare. She also has a wide range of experience in several dental specialties, including pediatric dentistry, surgical treatments, cosmetic dentistry, and root canal therapy. She is one of the few dentists in Oregon who has been trained in gum recession by Dr. Chao, who is the inventor of the Pinhole® Surgical Technique.

Dr. Ramsay is also a part of the Medical Teams International Dental Van, which provides mobile care for low-income patients in need – including serving the Yamhill community. She also offers a scholarship to a graduating high school senior every year. This is a long-standing tradition at Evans Street Dental that has been going strong since 1981.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

When she isn’t busy caring for patients, Dr. Ramsay spends lots of free time exploring all that the beautiful Willamette Valley has to offer, including the nearby mountains and ocean. She also always enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
